Tiwa Savage has decided to cancel her performance at a forthcoming show in South Africa due to the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians.
Tiwa who is about to drop her first official single of 2019 is to perform at the DSTV’s Delicious Festival in Johannesburg, but it now appears that won’t be happening as she has revealed she is pulling out of the show in order to protest the killings of Nigerians and other foreign nationals in South Africa.
She wrote; ” I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
Tiwa Savage joins the list of other Nigerian artistes who have decided to “cancel” South Africa until they are able to profer a solution to the issue of Xenophobia which has plagued the countru for a number of years.
